Re: Pass Rates at Bucks State Primary Schools with new CEM T
It will be interesting to see if there is a jump in OOC for Chesham Grammar in the next intake. SW Herts is likely to overflow into other areas and I would imagine that Chesham Grammar will be a main target.southbucks3 wrote:I bet if you looked at Henry Floyd/chesham school stats individually the ooc would he shockingly high, and from big distances too.

I think it may have already happened. CGS was oversubscribed on Allocations Day for the first time ever.SW Herts is likely to overflow into other areas and I would imagine that Chesham Grammar will be a main target.

Aylesbury has a massive catchment of children in county, although I agree chesham is on the borders.
Lord bills took very few from risborough this year, I have a friend appealing from a street that normally gets in, and from the other side if longwick is its catchment anyway. I have no idea how many it poaches from the stoke Mandeville/aylesbury area I confess.
Are there any stats per secondary school? I know aylesbury high published their intake stats a few years ago.

AHS has a map on the school's website that shows where children are drawn from. Huge numbers from MK.southbucks3 wrote:Are there any stats per secondary school? I know aylesbury high published their intake stats a few years ago.
None of the other schools publish their stats, but DCGS and DCHS will be virtually 100% in-county.
The nearest guide we get on the topic is the Allocation Profile.
Re: Pass Rates at Bucks State Primary Schools with new CEM T
I know people in Henley who have been offered SWBGS and Maidenhead (out of catchment) who have WHS.
Edited to add Maidenhead people also have BHS

I don't understand why schools don't review their catchment areas regularly to ensure that the balance between inner catchment/outer catchment and OOC are maintained or do they already do this?Sally-Anne wrote:I think it may have already happened. Bucks don't have inner / outer catchment - it's either catchment or not.noonynunu wrote:I don't understand why schools don't review their catchment areas regularly to ensure that the balance between inner catchment/outer catchment and OOC are maintained or do they already do this?Sally-Anne wrote:I think it may have already happened. The fabulous mitasol has worked her magic on my spread-sheet and turned it into code. (Thank you so much, mitasol!)
As you can see, there is a significant gap in the information we have about Partner Schools in both 2013 and 2014.
I have used past data to extrapolate what those numbers might look like for 2013 and 2014 to give a fair reflection of the In/Out County split. Please note the following points:
:: The large decrease in OoC Partner School candidates and qualifiers reflects the fact that all the schools (8 of them) that have ceased to be Partner Schools since 2012 are OoC schools.
:: The 2014 Appeal figures are only for Reviews, and not Appeals + Reviews.
:: The term Partner Schools is not interchangeable with private schools for OoC children. My earlier post up-thread suggested that approximately 25% of OoC children form Partner Schools taking the test are from state schools, which explains the difference between the In & Out qualification rates for Partner School children.

Re: Pass Rates at Bucks State Primary Schools with new CEM T
Sorry kittymum. I'm in Herts and I've only really looked at Chesham Grammar so didn't want to assume that all other schools in Bucks had the same arrangements.kittymum wrote: Bucks don't have inner / outer catchment - it's either catchment or not.
Re: Pass Rates at Bucks State Primary Schools with new CEM T
Being on the edge of Bucks BGS has a huge number of OOC pupils. Mind you, Slough is in catchment although it isn't Bucks. I do think it's a shame for the children that ravel long distances.
