Can I still be hopeful

My daughter bought her practice papers home to mark today. She got test A 11 wrong, test 1. 12 wrong and test 2. 18 questions wrong. Although she is a July born but still this does not look good. Any advise! I am seriously worried now.

Does she have a tutor?

Have you tutored/coached her?

Which practice materials have you/tutor used?

Test B 85%
Test C 77%
Ignoring test A that's meant to be easier than the real test, test B is borderline but considering that your daughter is a July birthday, it can well be a pass

The 11+ is a nerve racking process, and I hope it turns out as you wish.

Both my boys did badly on all three practice papers, and both boys then passed the actual exam. In their case, I think they were spurred on by their poor performance to prove that they really could do it.

We also practised technique for the ones they got wrong.

Hi,

My daughter says go through the familiarisation pack questions again and as a previous forum member said pick up on the weaker areas.
However its very close. As they say a bad rehearsal makes a good show so all being well .. she can only do her best and I would suggest don't do last minute cramming as the pressure may get to her.

Don't forget your child only has to pass one of the tests if I am right.
So they should have a chance if one test they find harder than another.
