The following announcement has been made about the Headship of Becky High:

The Governors are delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs Rachel Smith as the successor Headteacher when Ms Annette France retires in 2015.

Mrs Smith is currently Deputy Headteacher at Langley Grammar School and Ms France has already been in touch in order to ensure the smoothest transition possible.

I should like to thank all Governors, staff and students who were involved in the range of selection activities and helped to inform the decision-making. We are confident that Beaconsfield High School will go from strength to strength under Mrs Smith’s leadership.

So a forward-moving, ambitious, successful woman who's not afraid of change then... excellent!

That seems a bit mean - 4-5 years per job, and then most recently 2.5 (will be 3 when she moves) - every move upwards. She would most probably have stayed where she was for longer - but this opportunity arose .......

Comments about her seem good. As has been said - she is climbing the career ladder - good for her!

Unusual use of a semi-colon for a head of English!

There are some interesting turns of phrase right the way through. I also enjoyed her degree title - Batchelor of Arts in English Literature. Oh well. With a good secretary she should be excellent. Everything else looks good! People should take their LinkedIn profiles more seriously!
