Have they been allocated a place? I did not think places were allocated this early.

Now I am worried ..they said he had passed to go to a particular GS (maybe that is specific to different GS :-( ) But I am hoping others have had good news today :-)

They must have applied to a school that is not part of the co-ordinated scheme.

The information below says RGS has no Year 7 places ... very strange.

It is year 8 entry (Sept 2016) - apparently they are adding a new form, which I don't think is uncommon for RGS. That was why I posted as I hoped others had good news too, but I might need to get the thread title changed to stop confusion :)

I have a son in Yr 7 at RGS and would have hoped we would have been told if there were adding a form so I don't think that is likely.

We had a letter before Christmas from the HT saying they had places as some boys had dropped out due to finding the journey too long.

Jabba, you are probably right as it was apparently "implied" that a new form might be added. I felt that might be accurate based on what they "implied" at our appeal hearing last year, when they said/hinted/implied that spaces were reserved for year 8 intake.

Whatever happens, I am sure the school knows what it is doing and I want to congratulate everyone who passed the test and secured a place for year 8 :-)
