Re: Question on Allocations 2016
Yes, the simple reason being that there is barely any movement on the lists after the first few rounds of allocations.HJJ wrote:Do we really have to wait until end of June to see what # a child has moved on the waiting list for Bucks schools?

Re: Question on Allocations 2016
Sorry to ''hi-jack'' this thread, but it appears to be close to the info i'm looking for.
DD passed transfer tests but was a late application (due to admin error via an external LA) for a Bucks Grammar School so was a second round applicant.
When the second round was announced there was no place available, we were advised that she was placed on the waiting list for her choice for the further rounds. I then applied online for an appeal and heard nothing for four days, today we received a entry/starting pack from the chosen school, does this mean that a place has been awarded of not? Or do all wait listed students receive them?
Just confused and don't want to tell the DD the possible good news, if its not.

Allocation profile here: http://www.buckscc.gov.uk/media/4034388 ... -final.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
CGS went to 12.092 miles.

Re: Question on Allocations 2016
Hang on so it went down from 12.6 to 12 miles? How does that work?

Re: Question on Allocations 2016
A late applicant (or several) will have joined the list since the last round and they will be at a maximum distance of 12.092 miles.
Re: Question on Allocations 2016
With one at DCHS, one at DCGS and one at CGS (yes the logistics can be hellish...), I have to say CGS has really impressed so I'm not surprised the catchment is coming closer in.
The school is so much more on the ball wrt performance (and underperformance) than either of the others. Ds3 is already saying he wants to go there over DCGS...

Re: Question on Allocations 2016
Distance has dropped substantially at DCHS too. Late entrants here too?
