Hi

I am new to this forum. My son is in Y4 now and really want to train him to get admission in the GS. We live in oxford and planning to try the test either in Aylesbury or High Wycombe.
1. Do we have to live in the catchment area to get admission?
2. Or can i provide an address from the catchment area?
3. if we apply from oxford , will it reduces his chance of getting admission?
4. What is the minimum percentage to pass/get admission?

1) No - but you need to live near enough to get in.
2) Not unless you move - it is fraudulent to give an address where you don't live.
3) Yes - look at the historic alocation distances in the Bucks section sticky.
4) You need to get 121 or more in the Transfer Test to qualify.

Welcome! Hopefully one of the mods will move this for you. You can apply to Buckinghamshire schools but would have to check past admissions to see if your DC would get in from there (unlikely). You cannot give a false address, this is fraud and you run the risk of losing the place (Bucks recently published how many they had removed due to admissions fraud).
The minimum score is 121 which is a standardised score (not an actual score). Have a browse through the Bucks section where there is loads of information. Also here:

There is no GS in oxfordshire. Aylesbury and Highwycombe is 20 to 26 miles away from home

There are some outstanding schools nearer you though.

The journey to the Floyd would be the easiest as it's on the Oxford side of Aylesbury; AGS is across the other side of town. Wycombe would be a terrible journey - which school were you thinking of?

In spite of this forum, a grammar school isn't everything. I would opt for a local school every time. Think of school friends, school events, after school clubs and gridlock on the motorways.

Are you any where near The Cherwell school? It is a really excellent school. They get brilliant results, send around 12 young people to Oxbridge a year and it is comprehensive. I know lots of people whose DC's go there and they are very happy.
