No, that was last year. No-one knows how popular the school will be this year.

You need to have a back-up plan because it's far from certain.

We went for a review with his older sister and were successful but her score was 116, but I'm not hopeful with a 103....will mull it over this weekend.

Well done to all that have been successful ane good luck to those still waiting for results ***

Now where's that bottle of wine..... :)

I'm not an expert but I would think it would be quite difficult to get a positive HT review unless this result was totally unexpected and completely at odds with all of his previous work. You have nothing to lose by asking for an informal discussion with the Head, but I would imagine it won't be straightforward from here.
Yes The result is totally out of the blue , which was reflected in my post...

Like G55 said you need a back up plan. Dollyx

Obviously it was unexpected by you, but is it also unexpected by the school? What has the school said about your son's progress at parents' evenings etc? Unless the school completely expected him to pass it will be difficult for you. The gap is so big I would imagine you would need some particular reason or explanation as to why his result was so far below the cut-off.

It will be touch and go for 2018. If you can spare a space on your CAF as an outside chance, go for it.

Commiseration to those that didn't qualify and congratulations to those that did.

My heart breaks for 2littleboys & Aethel who are old friends on our 11+ journey. I am also equally gutted for Blue-Marigold.

I would also like to take this opportunity to express my thanks and gratitude to Sally-Anne, Guest55 and anotherdad who have been helping us all tirelessly on this forum. Thanks so much for all that you do for us.
