Dear All

I wish all students taking their test tomorrow, GOOD LUCK.

As a simple reminder, have a decent breakfast to keep up those sugar levels. As many will have breakfast early, to get to the venue on time, remember to take a banana/breakfast bar to eat just prior to the test, will help keep sugar levels high for concentrating

Hi does anyone know when we are likely to hear the results of the 12 plus, I have been told 4-6 weeks, but I wondered if anyone has from experience of previous years. Do we know the result and school allocation if any or just the result initially.Confused after speaking to admissions

Getting nervous about results of 12 plus now. I hope my son passes, for him regardless of a school place being available he took failing badly (119 117 appeal rejected attending a grandparents funeral between papers is apparently not sufficient grounds). He has a sibling at the grammer and we live in W/T village, so can just hope .It has been suggested that I should have put the Floyd down as first choice as they have more spaces but difficult with the sibling link at AGS

Fantastic news 126 now have to wait to see if a place available at a grammer. But to get the pass makes my son feel good.
Thanks for this site keeping me sane through the failed appeal right up until todays result.

Dear Guest

Very pleased for you and your son.....congratulations to both of you.

What school are you after?......which year?.......you could ring the school and ask what is their current situation re vacancies.

Should you not get your first choice......have you got other grammars in your area?

Patricia

Ps my student passed too!

Hi the letters with 12 plus results say that we should hear by 9th of June if a place available at a preferred Grammar. In anyones' experience do all letters that either offer a place or notify of place on waiting list go out at same time. Is it likely to go right up until the 9th before we hear. You think after each hurdle the stress would decrease! but not so.It would be nice to know if a large cohort passed.

Dear Katie

The waiting time, I believe, is to take into consideration any appeals.

Letter will either offer a place or tell you your number on the waiting list for your first preference, if on a waiting list, will have the opportunity to go to a transfer appeal.
