OOC with siblings - AHS
Daughter has just qualified although we live just outside of catchment. We do however have a son at AGS. I was looking on the allocation profile spreadsheet on this forum and it gives the following order as being what MOST schools use.
In area siblings
In area
Out of area siblings
Out of area
Looking at the AHS website their admissions policy says:
Siblings at AHS
Siblings at AGS
In area
Out of area
Does this mean that even though we are OC that we would get priority over in catchment girls with no siblings? It doesn't specify 'in area' for sibling rules.

Thank you. The Bucks/MK border goes through the middle of our estate and we are about 200 yards the wrong side!

Will your son be at AGS next September? If he's in year 13 now, the sibling rule won't apply.

Yes, it's 'on roll'. He has just started Year 9anotherdad wrote:Will your son be at AGS next September? If he's in year 13 now, the sibling rule won't apply.

That's good. My daughter has been very happy at AHS so I hope yours will be.WillowFae wrote:Yes, it's 'on roll'. He has just started Year 9anotherdad wrote:Will your son be at AGS next September? If he's in year 13 now, the sibling rule won't apply.

I don't think they do, probably because they are a couple of miles apart in different towns, whereas AHS and AGS are next to each other.neo1232 wrote:DCHS and DCGS does not have this kind of cross sibling arrangement - am I right ?

Correct. It's only the two Aylesbury schools.neo1232 wrote:DCHS and DCGS does not have this kind of cross sibling arrangement - am I right ?
