Hi Flinty

It will all depend on distance this year. The DCGS oversubscription could affect you, as could any successful appeal children living closer than you, but let's hope not! :D

Best wishes

RGS

At 3.5 miles from RGS hoping for a place  JHGS as second preference would be OK but further for us!
thanks Flinty

On 3.5 miles you can rule out the DCGS factor.

Beyond that it just depends where everyone else lives, but I find it hard to believe that you will have a problem, being that close.

Sally-Anne,
Thank you for your most comprehensive reply. You highlighted a number of factors which I hadn't considered / didn't know about.

We always knew it would be a tight call but felt that we should be honest in expressing our preferences and whatever will be...! We are fortunate in that (a) Son qualified and (b) we live in catchment for JHGS and SWBGS and, on last year's profile, we would (just) have been allocated RGS so we'll see what happens.

Flinty,
Congratulations on your successful appeal. We have friends who face that this week.
