Me again
I'm trying to find the costs of DS's bus travel. I know the timing of the bus, route etc, but I haven't been able to find the costs of his commute. He will be travelling with Carousel Buses and Arriva. Does anyone know whether he needs to get a separate ticket for each operator? Can he get a weekly bus pass to cover both operators?
I am planning to take a day off from work and pop down to Wycombe Bus Station to ask all of this.... but I'm currently driving myself crazy and thought that you lovely lot can help
And yep, I'm clueless about haven't travelled on a bus for more than 10 years

Thanks, this is exactly what I've been looking for. The only niggly point is that if DS missed the first bus, the next bus along is a Carousal bus and he would need to pay additional charges

Contingency money sewn into his underpants. To be deducted from his pocket money if he ever needs to use it. That way, the disincentive not to be late is both the financial loss and the embarrassment of having to access his bus money

Seriously, though, ours have all had monthly or annual season tickets for the relevant mode of transport, but we have also always given them enough actual cash to make sure that they can afford a single ticket to get home with, should they need it. (We tend to be fairly relaxed about the 'misappropriation' of a certain portion of said contingency money, should the need for a drink or even an ice cream strike at some point in the week ).

If it’s any help, DD1’s train pass is physically attatched to her schoolbag with a retractible lanyard..... it has worked so far as she’s not (yet) lost the entire bag!!!
