What are School day local buses?

Post by jackman »

Can someone tell me what are 'School day local buses'?

I have been looking at paid for transport options from MK to AGS and am quite confused now. I noticed that these three options are available from MK to AGS.

1. Bucks county council paid for transport - buses NAGS840, NAGS841, NAGS842, NAGS843
https://www.buckscc.gov.uk/services/edu ... -bus-stop/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

2. Mason's coaches - Services MAS-007 & MAS-008
https://www.masonscoachhire.co.uk/school-transport.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

3. School day local buses - Bus routes 673, 750, 830
https://www.buckscc.gov.uk/services/tra ... imetables/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I am not sure what these School day local buses are, is this a pay as you go system where you board the bus and pay on the bus and you don't have a guaranteed seat on the bus and you can take the bus as an when you want?

6. School day local bus timetables

This list does not include Buckinghamshire County Council dedicated home to school services, please visit the School Transport pages for information regarding these. Please note many of our other public buses do run at school times too so if you can't find what you need on this page please use the Traveline Journey Planner or visit the bus timetables page.

From that information, I would assume that these are public services which only run at certain times and only on days when the schools are open.
