Do both papers need to Qualify?

I read in the past that the DC only had to score over 121 in one of the 2 papers (English/Verbal and Maths/NVR) in the 11+ to be considered qualified. I know the scores are standardised. Is this still true, or do both papers of the test need to be passed? Thank you if you are able to clarify.

It's been 6 years since that was the case, and there were never two papers of Verbal and Maths/NVR. It was two VR papers until 6 years ago (and a score of 121 on either was enough to qualify), and since then there have been three sections to the test.

There are still 3 sections to the test, but the weighting has changed. The sections are: Verbal (50%), Non-Verbal (25%) and Maths (25%). The scores are added together and children need to achieve a score of 121 across all three to qualify. They don't have to achieve 121 in each section.
