11+ results remarks
We got the 11+ results for our son today. He scored 119.25, rounded to 119.
He got passing marks in English (124) and Maths (123) but was "killed" by the NVR (106).
I read somewhere that "old" candidates could be disadvantaged compared to "young" ones. Is that true?
As our son was born in September 2007, could have his final score been affected because of his age?
Is it worth it to ask for a human remark of his papers or is it just a waste of time and money?

Re: 11+ results remarks
Results are standardised so that your son is only compared to other children of his own age (is born in September), so he won't be disadvantaged (search standardisation on here).
The papers are optically read so the results are unlikely to change.

Our son scored 120.75 today! He was also killed by NVR.
He's a November birthday. I reckon the new spatial reasoning did them no favours. Fingers crossed we both get through on a selection review.

I wish you full success.
Do you think you'll get full support from the headmaster?
