Well we visited both grammar schools. Both have great points and both have bad points for our son.
Floyd - loved the new HT. Love that it's a mixed school. Bad - (for our DS) It's too arty. And too far away tbh. But more local children were there. Ds doesn't want to be travelling for long. (40 mins on the bus when we live 3 miles away!)

AGS - loved the science block, all very new, infact the whole school seemed new although in old buildings. Love how close it is (20 min walk). Small English classes. Didn't get a chance to speak to the HT. Bad - the split of children on our open morning was very high to private schools. There was only 3 boys from local state primary schools. A lot from milton Keynes too. Love the different choice of subjects there.
Now just a long wait! Fingers crossed.

Our son has stuck to his guns and wants to go to AGS.
The SHFGS would be our top choice for our DD though.

DS loves AGS and not so much of SHF for similar reasons. Though we would be prefering the SHF for our DD. Lea2124, keeping fingers crossed for you that the process works. Good luck

You'll both be fine. Given you both live in Aylesbury, you'll get allocated to whichever school you put first.
