We were planning to move into Amersham because of
1. Dr chandler girls grammar school (primary reason) and
2. it was accessible to Paddington (secondary reason).

But our DD score 119. We are planning to go through selection review process. it seems chances are high if head teacher will support her case. But we need to understand that do we need to move into Amersham now or after selection review process is completed.

We don't want to move there if first primary reason is not solved.

Any guidance or suggestion in such scenarios will be helpful.

First things first, are you sure you know which school you are aiming for? What did you think of Dr Chandler's grammar school when you visited it? Amersham isn't on a rail line that goes to Paddington, either.

If you are not living within the allocation area by 31st October your current address will be used for allocation. where do you live now?

If you move in the next two weeks (properly move, no short-term renting allowed) to be near the school, then if your review was successful your new address would be used. If your review was unsuccessful you would need a local upper school to put on your CAF.

Do you have a good local school where you are?

What you are planning is very risky as you have no guarantee of a successful review and you won't know until February. What other schools will you put on you CAF? If you've moved and the review is unsuccessful you'll be allocated an Upper school with places which may not be near where you've moved to.

If you wait to move then that's also risky as the school will be full.

I would stick with staying where you are and look at local options.
