Hi all,
I am new to this forum. Can someone please help me with information on getting a place in SWBGS? My DD scored above 121. Is there any chances she will get a place there? If not what 2nd choice can I put in the CAF form?

Thank you all in advance

Firstly score is irrelevant for Bucks if qualified so I have edited the score out.

Distance is important. How close are you to the school.

You can check the allocations distances for all the Bucks schools here.

It will help you consider what other schools might be worth looking at too.

Thank you so much for the reply and sorry for mentioning the score. We live within 1 mile radius to SWBGS.

Thank you.

In catchment? Why wouldn't she get a place there?

Then in previous years you should be fine.

Good luck Sam: you must be the first new poster this week who actually lives in Bucks and has a genuine query about allocation!

At this time of year the forum inundates with out-of-area parents from twenty miles plus away, who are trying to wriggle around the rules and “bag” a place for their child to have a two hour commute to school each day... often while temporarily renting somewhere to try to “prove” their application is genuine.

Less than a mile should be fine: I hope your DC loves the school!

Hi Sam

If you’re catchment and within 1 mile then you will be allocated SWBGS as long as you place it first on your CAF.

My children are both at SWBGS and they (and I) love the school.

ol.
Just to say that the putting it first is the right thing to do if you want that school. The school won't know where you have put it, but if you put something else above it then you may well get that instead.

Totally- WHS would, I guess, be your other option- if you put WHS first you would 100% be allocated that (they offered to the outskirts of London the last few years and take 192 as opposed to SWBGS 120).
