Re: historical data/statistics
Ah - I found what I knew I’d seen (but couldn’t find again) and it was only on page 1 of these thread
https://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/forum ... .php?id=56" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
This is what I was referring to...although I understand with only 60 successful cases maybe it’s not worth trying to work out stats for <116.
I might have a look at working it out all the same, just out of interest

You can get this data from this file

Re: historical data/statistics
I'm not sure that any analysis is going to help. The 'missing' data about how accurate the Head was is missing and this is key to understanding how a panel would view them.
Re: historical data/statistics
Normally each year Bucks publish a histogram showing the number of pupils who got each score.
Like this one for last year...
Number of pupils achieving each Secondary Transfer Test Score (STTS) for 2018 entry – Oct 2017
https://www.buckscc.gov.uk/media/450975 ... -entry.pdf
Anyone have any idea why they haven't published one for this year yet?

Re: historical data/statistics
It's a bar chart rather than a histogram surely?
Re: historical data/statistics
It has bars but technically is called a histogram (trust me - I've made many!).Guest55 wrote:It's a bar chart rather than a histogram surely?
But yes - if we're asking Bucks for it we should probably ask for the "chart". Looks to me like they normally make it in Excel using the "column chart" feature.
I am wondering whether the fact it hasn't been published this year might be because the distribution looks odd for some reason?
In case anyone is interested in the distinction between histograms and bar charts...

Re: historical data/statistics
Can you please tell us the outcome of your PMs? On Googling it certainly seems to be a bar chart and not a histogram, but I am really curious now.
Re: historical data/statistics
I did not want to take the thread off topic. I would call it a bar chart ...
