Catchment Area Dr Challoner's

Hi Everyone

I am a little bit worried about the catchment area as it seems to shrink every year.
We live in Chalfont St Peter, less than 5 miles away (distance as the crow flies) from Dr Challoner's.
Our son qualified for admission in a Grammar School and Dr Challoner's was our first choice. But he has no siblings in this school.
Does he have a good chance to be accepted or do we still have to worry?

Hopefully you should be OK 5 miles away, even if Sally-Anne's crystal ball is over enthusiastic. (Just for clarity, the catchment doesn't change each year, but the allocation distances may do).

If you take a look at the download on the first post in this thread https://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/forum ... 12&t=54212" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; you will see that DCGS has never allocated to less than 5 miles.

No promises, but I think it will be OK.

Thank you for the link. I checked it and it looks like Dr Challoner's is the exception that proves the rule about the catchment area...
Oh well, we just have to cross fingers.

Thank you. It seems promising indeed.
