In Patricia's DIY route sticky she suggests the following:

CGP 10-minute comprehension – I have opted for the CEM version as it is all multiple choice, their GL version requires children to write their answers

I would add some questions to each comprehension regarding Vocabulary, punctuation, spelling and grammar

CGP have two books for age 10-11 and have just published an age 9-10. As quoted above they come under the CEM section not GL.

Hi,
We found “First past the post” comprehension books great. They do classic and modern literature and mini inference books when your child only wants a quick burst of practice. Suitable for GL and Cem.
