Standardised scores aren't out of anything, they are scores which have been standardised by age. This means that your child is only compared with others born in the same month. It is standardised so that approximately 33% achieve a score of 121+. This means that if a test is harder or easier, the same number still qualify.

There is an explanation [urlhttps://www.buckscc.gov.uk/services/education/s ... sfer-test/]here[/url] on the Bucks CC website and here on EPE.

Were the three scores for a Bucks test? Asking as we were just given a single overall score.

Yes, there is an explanation of how STTS is worked out included in the letter.
Step 1: separate age stadardised scores for verbal, mathematical and non-verbal skills.
Step 2: weighted age stadardised scores (verbal 50%, maths 25%, NVR 25%)
Step 3: sum of the three weighted standardised scores (STTS is rounded down to a whole number).
