Dear All

A friend with a child in Year 7 at one of the Bucks grammars told me they had received a letter telling them where they their place on the waiting list for a Year 8 place at Challoner's (their original first choice school).

If this is true, where does that place those who have currently passed the 12+ regarding entry into Year 8?

Who gets priority - those who passed the original 11+ or those who recently passed 12+?

Dear forest

Length of time on the waiting list is not one of the admission criteria. If and when a place become available, the normal admission criteria would be applied to everyone on the waiting list to determine who gets that place.

After one year, qualification for grammar school entry lapses, and it is necessary to be retested. However, this would not apply to someone already at a Bucks grammar school.

Hope this helps.
