Heard a report this morning of several children being turned away because they had not brought their signed ID forms, which were allegedly sent out with the test invitations ... BUT I've seen the e-mail my friend was sent inviting her child to the test, and there is no mention of this form whatsoever, nor any attachment! Has this happened anywhere else? :?

You'd have thought so, wouldn't you...but they didn't ask for the forms on Tuesday! :o

On Bucks CC website

Quote:
'Identification and Fit for Testing' form for out of county children
If your child is taking the tests at a grammar school we will send you an 'Identification and Fit for Testing' form with your testing invitation.

You must fill in this form and bring it to the Secondary Transfer Testing session, without this form we will not be able to test your child.

This form is to enable you to confirm that your child is well on the test date. You should attach a photograph of your child to the form so we can check their identity too.

If your child goes to a Buckinghamshire local authority or Partner School, you do not need to fill in this form as your child's identity is confirmed by the school.

Exactly - but this information states that the form would be sent with the invitation for testing, but this clearly didn't happen in this instance! And not only was it not attached to the invitation e-mail, but there was no mention of it, either - so unless the parent happened to have read that part of the process hidden away in section 3 of the page on the Bucks website, they had no way of knowing that they were missing a vital form!

Yes - no phone calls possible, only the online form - so far has had standard response of "we'll get back to you within 10 days". Don't know how the others affected have fared.

I wonder if this happened elsewhere.

They should have been aware of these forms.

Is your friend OOC, though? If the forms are only required for OOC candidates, then there wouldn't need to be any reference to them in emails sent to IC parents?
