how was it?
I know we can't discuss the content, but thought I'd ask (for those that have taken the test) how their DC's found the test. Is it usual for a lot of children to say 'it was easier than I thought it would be?' maybe the bar will be raised this year due to the fact that the DC's have had more time to practice? My own DC came home and announced 'mum it was easy!'. hmmmmm..... either he's missed the trick or he's just telling me what he thinks I want to hear.

11 plus is not designed to be easy so if the student finds it easy it either means that they are working at a very high level and will score highly or they have rushed it and it was not easy at all.
In my experience it is almost always the latter. DG

There’s nothing that can be done now so I would just tell DC how proud you are of them and pleased that they found it easy.

Yep, I would just tell them you’re happy they tried their best.
If you want to reward their hard work then do it now, for trying, NOT wait until the results are known. It tells them you value them and their effort.
