Moving to Chalfont St Peter for DCGS
Hi, I have 2 boys and am thinking of moving to Chalfont St Peter. My eldest is going into Year 3 so am thinking about secondary schools, namely DCGS (if he gains the qualifying score). Does anyone know if children from Chalfont St Peter generally have a good chance of getting in? Would you know if they are not allocated a space there, could you list another grammar school that you are not in catchment for but then may be potentially placed in - thinking of John Hampden. Thank you.

Welcome to the forum.
If you have a look at the link in the first post here you can see the distances allocated for each school (of course it could change in the next few years).
You can put other grammar schools down on the CAF and places will be allocated in accordance with their admissions criteria (on the school websites), but generally in Bucks it is down to distance once they qualify. For DCGS you have to be resident for longer before applying that most other schools(again, check the criteria which can change each year).
Just be sure that you are happy with the local Upper School as well. Also many primary schools are oversubscribed so find out where there are places.
