Can we get late entry? School didn't tell us to register

Post by HarrietPleming »

For various reasons there has been a cock up. Our daughter is not registered and council say it is too late unless we have just moved here. Our prep school did not mention the parents had to register their child. Thought I'd have one last go and getting her tested if possible. Any advice, or experience appreciated. Thank you, Harriet

Thank you. Do you know of this happening to anyone else?

The Buckinghamshire Grammar Schools website does say that parents of DC not attending Buckinghamshire LA (i.e. state) primary schools have to register them to sit the test. If the school gave you the false information that it would do this on parents' behalf, then presumably everyone else in your DD's year who wanted to take the transfer test will be affected?
