Royal Latin catchment and allocation
Hi Everyone,
We live under Royal Latin school catchment but 5.93 miles away from Royal Latin school.
My DS is waiting for his 11+ result.
Last year, RLS allocation went up to 7.7 miles.
Is it safe to move very closer to RLS school(within 2 miles)? we are thinking of a situation if there are over 200 applicants within 5 miles of RLS school; how do we deal with this situation?
Thank you

Re: Royal Latin catchment and allocation
That situation is very unlikely to arise. In previous years up to one third of places at RLS have been allocated outside the catchment, which only happens once all the in-catchment places are allocated. Even with all the new houses being built in and around Buckingham, I think it's very unlikely that a qualified applicant living within the catchment area would fail to secure a place. I'd stay put, if I were you!

@Marylou. Thank you very much. What you say makes sense.
