Beaconsfield Girls - Allocation List & Moving into catchment

Post by RajKumar »

Hello,
Apologies for clubbing the below two questions:-
1. Is there any data available on the seats allocated for Beaconsfield Girls school on different rounds allocations, as per the distance? The school website has the Catchment area map for last couple of years, but it doesn't really tell any granular details like sibling and other categories, rounds of allocations etc.
2. Bucks council website says if we move before October 31st, then they will consider for the First round of allocation. If moved in Nov-Dec then they will consider for 2nd round, before March 1st then 3rd round and so on. But this data is not consistant, is it still valid in 2022 admissions, confirmation on this will be of great help.

The allocations data for each round is on the Bucks CC website.

https://www.buckscc.gov.uk/services/edu ... ol-places/

Where the allocation stopped at the end of a criterion, so to speak (e.g. for Beaconsfield High, March 2021, the final part of the statement is something like 'and all siblings (rule 5)'), the distance is irrelevant. If PAN had been reached part way through applicants considered under a criterion, then it would say where the cut-off was (e.g. 'and some allocated under rule x to y.zz miles')?

What do you mean by the data not being consistent? What you have said about moving dates is correct.
The allocation distances will vary from year to year. Last year at Beaconsfield High School very few people got in after the first round, it would be very risky to move & assume you would get a place.
Bucks look very carefully at anyone moving into the area.
