Aylesbury consultation for 2023 admission

Post by Aquamarine123 »

Hi,

The below links provides details of the consultation which was carried out for admission to year 7 in 2023. There is significant change in the approach taken in terms of pupil living in the catchment area and will be similar to dr Challoner criteria.

Do we know for certain if this is confirmed?

It is still on the school website as being under consultation. The consultation period finished on 27 January so I imagine something will be published soon.

The determined policy is now out and is similar to the one for 2022 admission. So looks like it will be for future years.

On another note just checking, was any decision which impacts the catchment move done in haste in the past by any school/council. Ideally they should give enough notice of at least a year before the application form for the exams are submitted.

Interesting that they haven't changed it.
There is always a consultation period, which is laid down by the admissions code and is for a minimum of 6 weeks between 1 October and 31 January in the 'determination year'.
