How far from the school do you live?

We are close to 7 miles from the school

If I am reading this right the OP is asking about the girls school- both Dr Challoner schools were at 7 miles in March last year and presumably went a bit further - seems to be a rather different year this year https://www.buckscc.gov.uk/media/451675 ... final4.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;gg234 wrote:Currently DCGS allocated up to 3 mile until 1st Apr

The W/L number will go up or down in round 3. This is because Bucks will resort to the W/L in round 3 based on the updated applications received and preference changes. People might have moved to the catchment after the initial deadlines.

I wrote a long reply yesterday whih somehow disappeared.
As pn8572 says, the waiting list number can go up or down as people join or leave the waiting list. This is a little different to areas where admission is purely on score so there is some meaning to the waiting list number. In Buckinghamshire we never really hear how many people get in from the waiting list, just how far out the the allocations go in distance.
Last year the figures for DCHS were as follows:
March 1st - all catchment & distance to 7.023 miles
2nd round - catchment & siblings to 3.857 miles
3rd round - catchment to 4.005 miles (this will be someone who moved or added themselves to the waiting list)
Final allocations: catchment to 6.117 miles
This year so far:
March 1st - all catchment & all siblings
2nd round - distance to 3.842 (this must be someone who lives fairly close to the school but not in catchment).
I would say that 15 places is quite a lot of movement, but of course it could suddenly jump if people decide to stick with whatever school they have been allocated as they get closer to the start of term and would like to know where their child is going, or they decide on an indepenedent school.
