12+ have many people applied

Post by RZAH »

Hi, it will be nice to know if many people are taking the 12+ route... have you already started or when are you thinking of prep?? I have applied for my DD, waiting for reply. In the meantime I am Getting myself prepared for waiting, 1st wait! will they agree to test?, 2nd wait! the test date, 3rd wait! the results and if lucky the final wait is she going to get a place. (life is too short to just wait)

Hi everyone

We've thought long and hard on this, and in the end have decided not to apply. Even if we could persuade our son to try (he's very happy at his Upper School and absolutely does not want to sit the 12+), I doubt that we could get into a Grammar near us. Good luck to everyone else out there, and hope it all works out for your children.

Well done sharone for making such a decision.

We probably CAN access a grammar school (and daughter is interested) and yet I still harbour doubts that 12+ is the right thing to do for her now she is at an upper.

But we have applied, so now in the lap of the gods (well, and Bucks CC)!

Thanks Dad40, and good luck. Whatever decision we make, I'm sure we're all trying to do the best we can for our kids.

Take care

Unfortunately, our DD is not happy at her present school :( . If she was maybe we would let her carry on as well. Dad40, good luck with the 12+ prep. do keep us informed with the progress.
