Rough Paper

Can anyone tell me if children are allowed to use rough paper in the tests, or whether they have to make any notes on the exam paper itself. Particularly for the code questions it is useful to have space.

No rough paper is given, there is plenty of room on the question booklet for notes, they can write anywhere on booklet, same spaces as shop bought NFER.
