12+ admissions to Colyton?
Does anyone have any experience of their child applying to Colyton and being admitted via the 12+ route? Any info gratefully received.
Hi,
Can't speak for Colyton, but have experience of 12+ at two other grammar schools. Well worth a try - but be sure to get up to speed with grammar school year seven work during the run up to the tests.
We had success at two 12+ entrance tests in different grammar schools. You have nothing to lose if you don't wish to stay in your present school.
Very best of luck.

No - but as my child is at Colyton I know that vacancies are few and far between after the first term. Also as pupils do GSCE in 4 years work your child needs to have gone beyond the average level of ability for their year. You need very good reports from their current school and they need to sit the entrance exam. So if you are going for it make contact with the school early.
