Be nice to get a bit of Herald coverage (fat chance of them actually sniffing out any real news) and put some pressure for answers from the politicians

you need to be asking for answers to the following questions:
1 - are the scores which have been given out standardised?
2 - how many took the exam? (from that you can work out, approximately, the rank)
3 - what were the cutoff scores for the last x years?

None of those should be too controversial - indeed they are published as a matter of course in many/most other 11+ areas.

zoorooms wrote:All I can find on Plymouth City Council's Guidance "The Next Step Parent's Guide" is the following,

The procedure comprises two NFER (National Foundation for Educational Research) standardised tests in a multiple choice format and a locally set English paper,
normally taken at one of the girls’ grammar schools during the autumn term
Ah so they will be standardised - have a look here - so all you need now is the number taking it, the past year(s) cutoff point, and whether the admissions numbers have changed over that time.

Ok, Just phoned them

So the scores are standardised

They wont / cant tell us me how many sat the exam

They wont tell us last years cut-off

Apparently this is what "Management" have told them
