This directly taken from DHSB Website with reference to YR7 Admissions.

A Candidates who achieve a qualifying GLAss
mark# equal to or higher than that of the 174th
candidate, and a qualifying score in the DHSB
English paper (# scores that exceed the 75th
percentile score, as notified by GLAss)
The candidate has qualified and is eligible for
consideration for a place at the school.

B Candidates who do not achieve the qualifying
mark and/or sufficient marks in the DHSB English
paper and who are below 174th position in the
rank order. The candidate has not qualified and so is
ineligible to be considered for a place at this
selective school

Does it not clearly state that you have to be in top 174 to be awarded A?
AND If you are below 174th then you are awarded B?

Maybe I am looking at it all wrong?

Oh well, the 1st of March is only 21 weeks today!

I don't think that's what we are sent though. The head said we get told 'indicative pass' or 'not an indicative pass'. He then went on to say indicative pass means definite place or waiting list, but does not mean definite place.

I think iirc - that is what the school/council deal with at school selection time.

So at school selection time they get grouped into a's and b' but we just get told indicative pass (all of a and a certain number of b's) or not.
