Mock exam at DHBS

Hello again Mad Mum!
This board is quiet, isn't it? I find it very useful to read about what other people are going through.
My daughter said the same as yours, that the VR was far harder than the maths. The maths also only had 50 questions so she finished earlier but didn't finish the VR.
She exceeded our expectations in her mock and scored late 80s. We were really pleased with her and then...well, the doubts have to set in, don't they?
Has she peaked too soon, will she lose interest now, what if the really bright girls didn't take the mock and she gets swamped in January...and so on!
Also do you think the scores were standarised, for age? I am wondering since my daughter is a late summer birthday so may have had her score bumped up a fair bit by that.
This is such a big step to take, losing access to our local comp. leaves you wondering but as you say it's a risk well worth taking since the rewards will hopefully make up for this stress.
A friend of ours had a similar experience to your friend. They have decided to use the time up until the mock to bring her up to speed on some of the techniques.
Oh well, only another couple of months to go!!
