Just received the test results. My DS passed with a Final mark of 120 (out of 140). The pass mark being 110.5

We live out of catchment, so how likely is it that he will get in? Anyone know what was required last year?

Hiya. HUUUGE CONGRATS!!!! My son sat the Poole too & we're out of catchment. We haven't opened the results yet. On my way home. I hope someone answers your question. It's so dead here.

DS Passed both Bournemouth & Poole

Mine too. He always wanted Poole - and that was the better result. 4 1/2 months of waiting. Torture!

My DS wants Poole too. His bestfriend also passed both & wants to go to Poole too. He is out of catchment as well. I really wish we had more information. The waiting is going to be torture for sure

Just spoke to the very lovely lady at PGS admissions. Unfortunately it's school policy not to give out any data such as how many passed from in-area and how many passed out of area. She couldn't even give me past figures. She was ever so nice but I guess that's just the way things are. We have now submitted our CAF & we've put Poole 1st then Bournemouth. We'l just have to wait & see...

At the information evening back in June, the Head said that typically 120 are from Poole, with the remainder coming from OOC. I sent them an e-mail asking for the score of the 168th boy in the intake last year. Just had a very nice lady call me to tell me that unfortunately they don't have this data to hand.

I don't think knowing the 168th would help as this is the first year when the Bournemouth and Poole exams have been at the same age. There could be a number who have passed both. Some will prefer Poole and some Bournemouth.
Meanwhile, those of us with daughters are still awaiting results.

I thought Poole started with Year 7 this autumn? So the Bournemouth effect should be in the numbers from last year.
