Not sure if this helps but my DD was ranked 220 and is 30th on the waiting list so no chance of entry so anyone around 180 should have a chance I think.Just heard my DD has got a place @ CCHS. Great news. She was ranked 175! Good luck to everyone else
Re: Chelmsford County High School cut off
Congratulations to those with the places; fingers crossed for those waiting.

Re: Chelmsford County High School cut off
Hello, Brentwood dad here.
The (lack of) movement on the waiting list, as at 15 March, is very disheartening. My daughter is at 10th and has been since last week.
Forms of acceptance / decline for the grammars were due in today. Whilst I know parents cannot be forced to send these in, the lack of movement since the initial waiting list was issued, gives me the feeling we won't get the result we hope for.
From looking at similar threads for the KEGS and the Colchester grammars, the movement appears to be minimal on those lists too. Is this unusual, maybe reflecting the economic climate and parent's concerns at signing up to seven years of private schooling?

Brentwood dad
Hang in there, it is still early days. The movemements will start when the replies are back in, which was supposed to be today. It is also not necessary that positions 1-9 will accept if they get offered.
Wish you the very best of luck

Thank you Hopefuldad

Some parents are still in the process of deciding between scholarships and grammars too. I think in previous years the end of March is more normal to see the places being allocated and declined.

Agree from experience with moved. It is a painfully tantalising business but we went from 5 th to first in a couple of days after no movement for a couple of weeks. As Hopeful dad said not everyone accepts the late offer.
We are all rooting for you and your daughter and everyone else who is waiting.
