My daughter's been attending extra tuition in preparation for the 11+ since April '11...I'm beginning to panic that she may not be ready in time. She seems to do well at home than the tuition class?! Her grades are stuck around the same score and this is adding to my worries...Any advice from anyone what I ought to do?? I feel it's more a confidence issue than anything else....

Welcome to the forum. Many pupils go through flat patches. Where are you aiming for and what sort of grades is she getting? Is the level of the papers constant or is it going up? I start with easy papers and move on to harder papers gradually so grades remaining constant doesn't worry me. In fact, many of my pupils will get nearly 100% on the early papers as they are confidence builders as well as guides to style and technique. Plenty of children are still getting low scores through the summer but pick up afterwards and make a lot of progress towards the exam.
