Wow-I'd really like to know sooner rather than later if this it to be the case. Surely CSSE will need to start informing people soon-it's less than a year away. People might have booked a holiday!

It really doesn't make much difference! The North Yorks one is so early in the term that the kids have hardly got back - but it is in term time so shouldn't make any difference to holidays.

I believe the implementation of the new code is behind schedule (minutes of parliamentary meeting below if anyone is desperate to read them) so I would think it unlikely that the CSSE will make any decision to move the exam date until the new code has been agreed (it is still only a draft at present).
