Hello all, just wondering with only a week to go what preparation will you all be doing. My DS is taking the exam and although i dont want to flood him at this late stage I think some work would be beneficial. I was thinking of maybe some 10 minute tests each day just to keep things ticking over- any thoughts?

The week before the exam we took it really easy. My sons did just as you suggested, a few 10 minute tests to keep them ticking over. Wishing your DS lots of luck for Saturday! :D

I agree with doing the ten minute tests - keeps them ticking over without being too onerous. I would add one or two sentences of punctuation in the style of the exam each day too.

Thanks for your replies, good to know my idea about 10 minute tests isn't crazy! The sentences sound like a good idea too, I will throw some in as well. Thankfully my son is relaxed about exams - its just his parents who are secretly stressed!!

Good luck to your DS- ten minute practise tests are the best way to keep them motivated and just going through and brushing up on VR and maths techniques helps.
