Thank for link. Questions look good, but I think I would need answers also. Do they exist on that site? If so whereabouts? :?

My DS has brought home a practice paper he completed in January... KS3 paper 1 from 2006, Tier 5-7. He scored 38/55, with only 8 marks lost from mistakes and 9 marks lost because he didn't finish (similar problem with the 11+ paper). I see the point about the KS2 level 6 paper, but I think that his school are definitely teaching the whole level, not just teaching to the exam.

That KS3 paper is not matched to the current KS3 programme of study ...

Even those papers did not test everything - APP assessment is the way forward

I agree APP is best but until it is fully accepted by League tables etc parents expect SATs levels to be presented about their child :?
APP is gradually taking over. :D
