How did everyone choose their tutors? if they had one that is? Where did you go to - other than the 11plusforum to search?

I tutored my own DS, but friends of mine in Essex asked at the school or asked those with older children (already at WHSB!) for recommendations.

think local recommendation is generally considered to be the best route

Id would definately recommend our 11+ tutor in Braintree. Please inbox if you would like his number. He runs classes of 4 and mock exams in a hall, most helpful. Hope Im allowed to put all that!

Originally recommendation. My oldest dd who is now in yr 10 has been going since yr4 so when it came to the youngest dd we popped her in too as a top up to what she was doing at school. Incidentally oldest dd is in state school and didn't sit 11+ and youngest is at shsg. Totally different children academically but both have thrived with the same tutor.
