Scores on the doors for 2013 entry

hi we just got the email - my ds scored 334.725 - the attachment that comes with it i find completely confusing - it looks like she has definitely got into westcliff (out of catchment) but not sure about county high or colchester grammar ?? can anyone help ?!! i am so so pleased she seems to have got into westcliff but really need some sort of clarifiction

I'm interested in the minimum scores for the bipartite schools. I know girls with lower scores who are there. I don't know if they have the same policy as Shoebury who accept children to their grammar stream with level 5s in their SATs.

Its confusing for us, is it DS or DD as you mentioned DS and then talking about county High and Colchester Grammar. Based on weather it is DS or DD we can guess the possibilities.
In case it is DD, Colchester (yes) Chelmsford (probably on waitlist if in catchment).

FizzWizz123 it looks like WHSG Yes. Chelmsford No. Colchester probably yes. for your DD. Hope that helps.

Scores for my ds:
English 19/50
Maths 20/50
VR 59/80
Standardised score of 315
We are in priority area for SHSB and westcliff so fingers crossed he has done enough!! It's going to be a long wait until 1st march!

My friend's DD lives in London (outside catchment) and she scored 357. She is keen on Chelmsfor and Colchester. Does she have a chance?

Finally in and worse than feared (knew VR had only been partially completed due to illness), mock VRs had been more than double this... ot even worth considering any Essex GS applications:

English Score 25/50
Mathematics Score 23/40
Verbal Reasoning Score 31/80
These three results are adjusted to take account of any variations in the difficulty of different papers each year and combined to produce your child's overall, standardised, weighted score of: 292.673

Was DD, in catchment for ColCHS but any GS would have been of interest!

DD's scores

English: 27/50
Maths: 29/40
VR: 73/80

Standardised score 360.178

Preference: ColCHS, out of catchment for CCHS (out of catchment score 355 and above as indicated by CSSE)

For outside area 355 for Chelsmsford, 353 Colchester. Def has a fab chance!!
