Email finally arrived at 7.52pm. I couldn't look.

We are writing to let you know your child’s results in this year’s CSSE Selection Tests.
Your child’s raw scores in the three tests are as follows:
English Score 36/50
Mathematics Score 35/40
Verbal Reasoning Score 55/80 ( DS said he messed this up, got dizzy & couldn't finish - his lowest ever score)
These three results are adjusted to take account of any variations in the difficulty of different papers each year and combined to produce your child’s overall, standardised, weighted score of: 354.051

Hoping this is enough - still have my doubts. Will only really believe he's in when get allocation in March

Good luck to people still waiting - I feel for you - I burst into tears when DH said email had arrived. He had to read out the score to me.

Hi Pkalia

CRGS doesn't have a catchment area so well done - you're in!

Just to point put to anyone looking in who is stressing at the high scores - these are unlikely to be representative across the population!

I quite agree, I spent 5 months stressing about the high scores on last years CRGS aspirants thread but DS got in comfortably from a score near the start of last years yellow zone.

I echo Redtabbys comments - we were one behind her if I recall...There was a huge amount of wasted stress as all of our boys were comfortably in. This forum, very naturally, over-represents the high end of the spectrum.

340.48

According to the guidance he should be ok- just. Anyone know how reliable the guidance is- we're new to all this.

Is it ever the case the colour zones are set too low and a score in the yellow zone doesn't gain a place? Help please....
