Is there many passes at your school?
Hi,
Just curious what the pass rate this year was like at your dc school? At our school this year I believe pass rate is similar to pass few years, with approx 5 girls and 5boys passed. I think just under 60 took test. Primary school is southend catchment Please share if you know x

1 child took the 11+, 1 child passed (my DS obviously)
School runs a 11+ club but on the whole parents/kids aren't interested

About 15 took the CSSE test (school in SS9 with about 50 in year 6). So far, I know of two boys - one of them our DS2 - and one girl who have passed. Have heard of 5 boys and 2 girls who have failed; no idea about the others. DS2 says that one of the girls got 302

Off the top of my head, small church school, one class of thirty, seven took the exam. Basic results:-
Boys Girls
Number 3b 4g
Result < 297 1b
Result 297-300 1b
Result 300-303 1g (301; gutter)
Result 304-310 1b 2g
Result 310-320
Result 320-330 1g
Interestingly, one of the girls who scored between 304-310 had no problems passing the separate exam for a Chelmsford Grammar (CCHS?). Church school does not encourage nor aid 11+ entries. Severte disruption to teaching in the last 9 months due to teacher disciplinary & supply issues. Doesn't it show.
State school next door with 2 x 30 (or three?) classes had higher marks (1 x 310, 320-330's x 2, a 350 and a 370) but then you're not going to hear about the fails, I would imagine.
All in extended SS0-SS9 catchment; but about as far outwards as you can get without falling over the edge of the earth!

Re: Is there many passes at your school?
In our year 6 class there were 5 girls out of 10 who took the test, all passed. I don't know for certain how many boys from the class took the test but I believe it was around 8 and I believe they all passed too.
Re: Is there many passes at your school?
Our school has 52 year 6 pupils. Three took the test scoring mid 350's, high 3 noughties and just under 280. OOC. Its a shame there is nothing more on offer for those achieving well but out of catchment.
Re: Is there many passes at your school?
Our school (SS6) 2 classes of 30, 15 took the test and as far as I am aware 6 girls and 1 boy passed.
Our school does not encourage the 11 plus entries.

From a class of 30, 4 girls and 2 boys took the test.
One girl and one boy each scored 350.
The School does not support or assist in any way with the 11plus

Class of 30 in catchment for Southend schools, as far as I can be sure:
3 boys scoring 374, 304 and 243 respectively
4 girls scoring 319, 302 and other two unknown but believed to be fails
Interesting scores....for the most part not so many boys passing which is hopeful for my DS 304 score
