Does ColCHS has a catchment area?

Hi,
Does anybody knows whether ColCHS has a catchment area?
In their admission policy it's written that they will make the list on merit based and not on distance based. They will consider the distance from school only if there is a clash on a seat.

There is no catchment for the Colchester grammars as far as I am aware.
