Hello there mumsof 2015 candidates,
Any ideas of what you are giving kids to practice for the creative writing bit.
THE familiarization paper shows one bit on instruction and other information,
Do yiu think it could be writing a letter, dialogue,receipe or anything else?please suggest.

I hope someone will come along with more information. I have no idea right now. I'm still a bit gutted that VR isn't a separate paper. Ds was banking on that to boost his scores!

I don't think that we will know until this year's sitting I'm afraid.

My personal thoughts are that it will be a piece of descriptive writing as in the example paper and then a piece of factual which could be anything from: write some instructions, write a letter (although this could still come in first section as a descriptive I suppose).

I am starting to do descriptive work with my son a bit but as he is only Year 4 and dyslexic I am not pushing it too much at the moment - I am waiting to see how much he improves before I decide if he is GS material.

Don't be too gutted Zoe22 about the VR paper going, it is easy to have a disaster on that paper even if you are normally strong on it - my dd did
