TRANSPORT FROM MALDON TO KEGS - 630 service or 31 (public)

Post by lunahp »

My son is starting at Kegs Sept 2014 does anyone else travel from Maldon? We have two travel options: Consortium bus (where my son has got to walk 20 minutes morning & night to bus stop but is only used by school kids or public bus (bus stop is about 6 minutes from our house)- does anyone have any experience of using either of these from Maldon? Thanking you for your help.

I have no experience of that particular service, but personally I would recommend the public service - less stress about getting to the stop on time in the morning, if he misses one bus there will be another one along fairly soon even it gets him to school a bit late, etc. A season ticket for the public bus service will give him use of that bus at the weekend and probably other First services in the area as well - not sure what the set-up is in your area and here in the Southend area we tend to buy Octopus season tickets which cover all the bus companies' services.

Anyway, using the public bus will help foster independence and especially as he gets older, the season ticket will save you petrol :D
