CRGS Headmaster

Post by fausto »

Mr Jenkinson will retire in August 2015 after 15 years of "inspirational leadership".

Hmm, will it have any bearing on CRGS quality of education and performance?

I have always found Mr Jenkinson to be a very inspiring gentleman, for whom the boys have great respect. He will, I believe, be sorely missed and a very hard act to follow.

'Inspirational leadership' may be an over used term but in this case I think it's accurate. He is well respected by staff and students and the vast majority of both groups strive to maintain the academic standards and very special ethos that has been built up during 'Jenko's' time at the helm.

That said, for the sake of all those at the school and for the many hoping to be so its important that Mr Jenkinson doesn't become more of a 'legend' than he already is in order that the new Head gets 100% support in taking over at a challenging time for the school.

DD most upset. In a very short time he has made a big impression. Possibly because he chose her for public speaking.

Moved, I think there will be a big responsibility for current year 11 & 12 next year to maintain the ethos of the school while the new Head settles in. At least they have a strong Head of 6th form and hopefully the students will feeling they will make Mr Jenkinson proud by carrying on what he has achieved.

Well done to Miss Moved, the public speaking will be a great experience.

Maybe the Deputy Head will get the job like at KEGS.

Which one did you have in mind?
Word ' on the street', or should that be ' in the playground' is that current staff wouldn't want the job.
